It was a very warm humid evening on January 9, 2017 in Santa Clara at a club called El Mejunje located at Calle Marta Abreu #12. I was on vacation to Cuba for Christmas. As it so happens I had a friend there I met at resort the year earlier who worked in the hotel. We had an arrangement I would come stay with her family during my stay. When I arrived I met her husband Yani, and we became good friends. Actually there were three of us - (Steve, Yani, Roland) We were together almost my whole time in cuba like 3 best friends for life. We all share the same tattoo.
During one evening we decided to take a trip to the club to sit down and have some rum. Apparently they make the best mojitos which is true. I have never tasted anything like it. Was delicious and strong. While we were sitting somewhere in the back where a group of dancers was practising for an upcoming performance. All of sudden the room went silent. All attention shifted to the entrance doorway. It was Danny walking in with two body guards. He was relaxed. People were calm almost like they respected his space while taking pictures. I decided it was a great time to invite him to our table. I walked up to hi and introduced myself from Toronto and he we had a mojito together. It was a moment to remember for me.
Especially now with Danny Glover being diagnosed with Alzheimers, it is especially important to focus on our minds as well as body when it comes to health. I wish Danny lots of health going forward and want to express how gratful I am to your lesson.
