The Queen's Gambit was filmed in Toronto
Toronto has a big filming scene. For years, I have seen many filming sets throughout the city for months. It is amazing actually. One of those gigs was The Queen's Gambit. Filming set in two location, Germany and Canada. While in Canada they filmed both in Toronto and Cambridge.
Elizabeth Harmon being the main character, is a chess genius in the making and goes on to the World Championships. I do not want to ruin it for you. You may have come here looking for a review of the show.
I have been playing chess all my life. I would say over the course of my life I have played well over 100, 000 games. That being said, I also know the ways chess players are and she fit the bill! Brilliant acting. Great story line and a 9.5 out of 10 for me.
